Welcome to AM Services. Please take a few minutes to read our statement of purpose, a summary of our policies and procedures and fill out our registration form. We appreciate this opportunity to serve you. Here at AM Services we enjoy our business. Our goal is to work at what we enjoy and make a profit so that we can continue to serve our valued customers. We work to support our families and ourselves. As families we value our time together, in community service, in research, in play, in work and in the education of ourselves professionally as well as in other subjects that arouse our interest. We also set aside each week to worship God and share in voluntary Bible education of interested persons in our community. We want to grow personally, professionally and spiritually.

Our head mechanic, Jason Parsons, has been working professionally in the automotive industry here on Maui since 1987. He is a master mechanic, certified by the Society of Automotive Excellence (ASE), the State of Hawaii and holds an Advance Level Engine Performance Certification. Jason has also attended and graduated from specialized training in electronics, diesel and alternative fuels. Jason is experienced in everything from late model vehicles, where problems are sometimes fixed with software updates like your home and/or business computer, to troubleshooting, servicing, tuning up, and partial restoration of collectable cars from the 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s. His personal interests include actively driving and modifying older 4 wheel drive vehicles and doing fuel injection conversions. These interests help him to stay on top of our industry and our customers benefit as well.

Quality work is a priority with us. Since quality often suffers when price is the first priority, we are not the least expensive repair service around, nor do we wish to be. We look at our customers’ vehicles as a whole verses just the reason it was brought in for repair. When problems are found in addition to the customers’ initial concern we will try to list repair recommendations for these additional problems in a priority based on our experience. This provides you with the knowledge you need to make proper maintenance and repair decisions for your vehicle and circumstances. This also provides us with additional work. You are in no way obligated to do the recommended repairs.

SPECIALTIES:
AM Services specializes in the diagnosis, repair and service of vehicle electrical, electronic and computer systems. Research and development of new products and services that help reduce down time and improve value for our customers are very important to us.

OTHER SERVICES:
General auto repair to include alternators, batteries, cables, rewiring, starters, belt, hoses, radiators, check engine lights, tune up, performance, brakes, no starts, flat tires and other trouble calls including four wheel drive access (trouble calls 24/7 for registered customers only). Electrical and Engine troubleshooting of heavy equipment and high performance tuning is also available.

SCHEDULING:
Repairs will be scheduled for AM or PM of appointment date not for a precise time due to the unpredictable nature of auto repair work. We will call approximately 1/2 hr before arrival for repairs.

WARRANTEES:
Parts: Manufacturer’s warranty varies from 30 days to lifetime of vehicle ownership. New or remanufactured parts may be used. If you prefer only original manufactured parts please specify by

The price of parts is marked up a specific percentage over our cost to cover our overhead, warrantees and training.
Labor: Installation labor is warranted for one year / 12,000, miles. Labor warrantee is for installation problems only; not symptoms (i.e., if battery is replaced and vehicle does not start next week battery will be tested, if it’s good, cables are clean and tight this is not a warrantee situation, since bad starter, wiring, ignition switch, neutral safety switch etc. could also cause a no start symptom). In such a case a new trouble call / diagnosis charge will apply. Labor to remedy parts defect is not included. Labor credit is sometimes available from parts manufacturers if part fails in the warrantee period. On rare occasions that we use customers parts customer is responsible for all the warrantees.

During the course of our normal work on your vehicle parts may break due to age, poor design (often plastic that is not designed for serviceability) or frozen and broken bolts. This kind of breakage is not warranted. From our own experience we understand that this can be very inconvenient and frustrating. Therefore when this happens we will offer to expedite such repairs and offer a discount if we are able to. Customer shall not be entitled to recover from AM Services Inc any consequential damages to property, damages for loss of use, loss of time, loss of profits or income, or any other incidental damages. No warrantees on high performance work.

RATES:
Initial automotive diagnostic call includes up to 1 hour Kihei and Central Maui: $110.00, additional labor $89.00 per hour during business hours (8-5 m-f). Non automotive/heavy equipment and high performance is $99.00 per hour after first hour at $110.00. After hours and holidays labor rates are double. Travel time will be charged for areas outside of Kihei and Central Maui. Payment is expected at completion of work or weekly on longer projects. Payment for special order parts is required before ordering.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION:
Your satisfaction is important to us. Please let us know if we are meeting your expectations or not. If, at any time, after we have worked on your vehicle, you as a customer are not satisfied or comfortable with our judgement calls with respect to the repair of your vehicle, we will help you select another service provider if you wish.

I, the registered owner, authorize you to perform repairs and furnish all materials and include any necessary sublet work. I understand any cost quoted is an estimate. You may operate the vehicle(s) for inspection, testing, and delivery at my risk. You will not be responsible for loss or damage to vehicle or articles left in it. An expressed mechanic’s lien is acknowledged on vehicle(s) to secure the amount of repairs, including those from any prior work or repair contract on vehicle(s). In the event an attorney is retained to foreclose this lien or bring suit for collection of any sums due, I agree to pay costs of collection and reasonable attorney fees. Rates terms and conditions are subject to change at any time, normally once a year. I have provided all information requested, read, understand and accept all of the above terms and conditions.
